NEW SUZUKI LANDY HYBRID COMPACT MPV FACLIFT LAUNCHED 2026

SUZUKI LANDY MPV FACELIFT:

Suzuki has introduced a facelifted version of its Landy three-row minivan. In the Japanese market, pricing starts at 3,845,600 yen for the front-wheel-drive (2WD) variant and rises to 4,128,300 yen for the E-Four all-wheel-drive model.

The updated Suzuki Landy is now offered exclusively with hybrid powertrains and gains a new eight-seat option. The vehicle also adopts a more aerodynamic exterior design, resulting in a cleaner and more refined look.

For anyone unfamiliar with the Suzuki Landy, it is not a minivan developed entirely by Suzuki. The model shares its platform with the Toyota Noah and Toyota Voxy sold in Japan. In other words, it is a badge-engineered model, using Toyota's design and engineering with some modified details and a Suzuki badge.

EXTERIOR:

The current fourth-generation Suzuki Landy measures 4,695 mm in length, 1,730 mm in width, and 1,875 mm in height in 2WD configuration, while its wheelbase spans 2,850 mm.

The updated Suzuki Landy continues to share its underlying platform with the Toyota Noah, but the latest facelift introduces a noticeably more assertive appearance. For this revision, Suzuki has adopted the sportier front bumper design and styling elements typically associated with higher-spec Toyota Noah variants, rather than the standard version’s more conservative look.

The most prominent update is the introduction of a large, multi-layer grille that extends across much of the front fascia, giving the vehicle a stronger and more distinctive presence while retaining its core role as a practical family-oriented minivan.

One of the key updates to the refreshed Suzuki Landy is the introduction of an eight-seat cabin configuration, complementing the existing seven-seat layout. This addition enhances the model’s versatility and makes it a more practical choice for larger families or users who frequently travel with multiple passengers.

The Suzuki Landy is available in three exterior colors: Platinum White Pearl Mica, Metal Stream Metallic, and Neutral Black. The restrained color palette reflects the model’s positioning as a family-oriented vehicle, prioritizing practicality and understated elegance over bold styling.

INTERIOR:

Inside, the Suzuki Landy benefits from a few welcome refinements, such as improved soft-touch dashboard trim and a larger 7-inch driver information display. One notable omission remains the lack of a standard infotainment system, especially considering that some versions of its Toyota Noah sibling are available with more advanced multimedia setups.

One unique aspect of the Suzuki Landy is that it is sold in an audio-less format. In other words, it does not come with a factory-fitted audio system or infotainment screen, and customers must choose and install these features separately.

Compared with the Toyota Noah, which offers more factory-installed infotainment screen options, particularly in top-spec models, the Suzuki Landy provides greater flexibility. It may be a better choice for customers who want to choose their own audio system or display based on their budget and intended use.

POWERTRAIN:

The biggest mechanical change for the 2026 Suzuki Landy comes under the hood. Following the direction taken by the Toyota Noah, Suzuki has dropped the 2.0-liter Dynamic Force petrol engine, making the Landy a hybrid-only model. Power now comes exclusively from a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine working alongside electric motors, with buyers able to choose between front-wheel drive or the E-Four all-wheel-drive system, which adds a second electric motor at the rear.

Drivers opting for the E-Four AWD version will benefit from a newly added Snow Extra mode, which is engineered to provide greater confidence on icy and snow-covered surfaces. Suzuki has remained quiet about any chassis upgrades, but considering that the latest Toyota Noah gained improvements in ride quality and noise insulation, there is strong reason to believe the updated Landy has received comparable enhancements behind the scenes.
