Xiaomi YU7 GT Ready For its Premiere 2026

XIAOMI YU7 GT

The most powerful GT variant of the Xiaomi YU7 electric crossover has appeared in the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Trade’s public database, signaling an official launch in the coming months.

Chinese media reported in December that Xiaomi was preparing a flagship YU7 GT model. The high-performance crossover is expected to be one of three new Xiaomi vehicles arriving in 2026, alongside the long-wheelbase SU7 L electric sedan and the large, three-row YU9 plug-in hybrid crossover. Additional reports suggest Xiaomi may also be developing a five-seat plug-in hybrid crossover, likely to be called the YU8.

The YU7 GT’s listing in the Ministry’s database effectively confirms the model’s production readiness, as such disclosures typically precede market introduction. The standard Xiaomi YU7 debuted in June and quickly became a sales success. By the end of 2025, the model had recorded 153,673 deliveries, while the closely related SU7 sedan reached 258,164 units. In total, Xiaomi sold 411,837 vehicles in 2025. The company entered the automotive sector in March 2024 and built its 500,000th electric vehicle in November 2025—a green YU7 crossover. At present, the most powerful YU7 on sale is the Max version, which uses dual electric motors delivering a combined 690 hp. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds and reaches a top speed of 253 km/h.

The upcoming YU7 GT raises performance significantly. It also uses a dual-motor setup, with a 288 kW motor at the front and a 450 kW motor at the rear, producing a combined output of 738 kW (1,003 hp). Top speed is rated at 300 km/h, and although official acceleration figures have not yet been released, the 0–60 mph time is expected to be under three seconds. Visually, the GT stands out with a more aggressive front air intake, wider side skirts, rear diffuser fins, a redesigned upper rear spoiler, and exclusive wheel designs. Multiple wheel styles will be offered, wrapped in 265/40 R21 tires at the front and 295/35 R21 at the rear. Buyers will also be able to choose from various exterior decals and brake caliper colors.

A new aerodynamic body kit and a slightly lowered suspension alter the vehicle’s dimensions. Compared with other YU7 versions, the GT is longer, wider, and lower, measuring 5,015 mm in length, 2,007 mm in width, and 1,597 mm in height. The wheelbase remains unchanged at 3,000 mm. Pricing in China is expected to start at around 450,000 yuan. By comparison, the single-motor Xiaomi YU7 currently begins at 253,500 yuan, while the dual-motor YU7 Max is priced from 329,900 yuan.
