Toyota has officially launched the all-new Toyota Hilux in Vietnam. Imported from Thailand, the pickup arrives in three trims: Standard 2.8 4x2 MT, Pro 2.8 4x2 AT, and the range-topping Trailhunter 2.8 4x4 AT. Prices are set at VND 632 million, VND 706 million, and VND 903 million, respectively. Compared with the previous generation, the 2026 Hilux enters the market with far more competitive pricing.

DIMENSION

The 2026 Toyota Hilux continues to ride on Toyota’s proven IMV platform. The pickup stretches 5,320 mm long, measures up to 1,885 mm wide, and stands 1,815 mm tall, supported by a substantial 3,085 mm wheelbase. With 225 mm of ground clearance and a tight 6.3-metre turning radius, it balances off-road capability with everyday usability.

EXTERIOR

The 2026 Toyota Hilux adopts a much bolder look with a thoroughly redesigned front end. A large body-coloured grille takes centre stage, framed by slim LED headlights and sharp daytime running lights. The aggressive bumper design adds gloss-black triangular inserts, while automatic versions gain LED fog lamps set alongside a rugged silver-style skid plate.

At the rear, the 2026 Toyota Hilux is equipped with inverted taillights featuring distinctive C-shaped LED lighting signatures. The tailgate incorporates an integrated spoiler, while side steps are built into both sides of the rear bumper, similar to designs seen on rivals such as the Ford Ranger.

INTERIOR

Inside, the 2026 Toyota Hilux gets a noticeably more modern cabin with a redesigned dashboard and updated door trims. Lower-spec models feature a 7-inch digital instrument display and an 8-inch touchscreen, while premium variants step things up with twin 12.3-inch screens for both the driver display and infotainment system.

Further upgrades inside the 2026 Toyota Hilux include a new steering wheel inspired by the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. Depending on the trim level, buyers get either Caretex or SofTex seat upholstery, and Toyota has finally added an electronic parking brake to modernize the driving experience.

POWERTRAIN

Mechanically, the 2026 Toyota Hilux sticks with its proven 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV diesel engine. The four-cylinder unit delivers 204 hp, while torque reaches 410 Nm with the manual gearbox or a hefty 500 Nm when equipped with the 6-speed automatic transmission.

The 2026 Toyota Hilux is offered with either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, depending on the model. The 4WD versions include a rear differential lock and Toyota’s Multi-Terrain System with driving modes for Dirt, Sand, Mud, Rock, and Snow.

Safety has taken a major step forward in the 2026 Toyota Hilux. The pickup now gets a 360-degree camera system with an underbody view function, making off-road driving easier and safer. It also comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, bringing modern driver-assistance features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.
