The Third-Generation Audi Q7 Has Been Revealed 2027

Third-Generation Audi Q7:

The Audi Q7, one of the most important three-row SUVs in Audi’s lineup, is preparing to enter an all-new generation for the first time in more than a decade. The current model has been on sale since 2015 and has received two major updates, introduced in 2020 and 2024, to keep it competitive within the luxury SUV segment.

EXTERIOR:

The third-generation Audi Q7 has a stronger and more aggressive appearance than the current model. It features a higher front end, slightly rounded front fenders, and more prominent rear fenders. The front is dominated by a large Singleframe grille with a mesh design. Another major change is the use of split headlights, similar to those on the Audi Q6 e-tron.

One of the most impressive technologies on the new Audi Q7 is its next-generation digital lighting system. The advanced LED daytime running lights do much more than illuminate the road—they actively communicate with other road users. The system can project warnings about slippery or icy conditions, display turn-signal graphics on the pavement, and even alert nearby drivers when a door is about to be opened.

At the rear, Audi’s third-generation Digital OLED taillights take vehicle-to-vehicle communication a step further. They can warn following traffic about accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or other hazards ahead, and in congested conditions, they can display signals encouraging drivers behind to keep a safe distance. Combined with the brand’s innovative Communication Light technology, the system aims to make road interactions clearer and safer for everyone.

POWERTRAIN:

The new Audi Q7 adopts a column-mounted transmission selector, freeing up additional space on the center console. This area now accommodates cupholders and cooled magnetic wireless charging pads supporting the Qi2.2 standard, each capable of delivering up to 25W of charging power. USB-C ports are also available, with charging outputs of up to 100W.

The cabin further benefits from electrically adjustable air vents that can be controlled through the infotainment system, along with enhanced ambient contour lighting. Available options include an electrochromic panoramic glass roof with integrated LED illumination and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system producing 1,360 watts through 22 speakers with surround-sound capability.

Customers can choose from a wide range of interior materials and color schemes, while Audi’s personalization program offers extensive customization possibilities for a more bespoke cabin experience.

European buyers of the new Audi Q7 will be able to choose between two versions of a refined 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. The standard model develops 245 hp and 500 Nm, while the flagship diesel raises those figures to 299 hp and 630 Nm, delivering stronger performance across the rev range.

Both versions benefit from Audi’s latest MHEV Plus mild-hybrid technology, which can contribute up to 24 hp of electric boost for improved responsiveness and efficiency. An eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox comes standard, paired with quattro permanent all-wheel drive and a new preloaded limited-slip center differential designed to maximize grip in challenging conditions.
