KTM has introduced a track-only version of its flagship naked bike, the 2026 KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track. Notably, this is the first time a Super Duke model has been designed exclusively for the track, with no road-legal version available.
As the name implies, this is a track-focused machine developed with no plans for road use. It does away with features like headlights, rearview mirrors, and other street-legal equipment, and has been fully reworked to comply with FIM racing standards. Additionally, it will be produced in a limited run of just 100 units worldwide.
The RR Track is derived from the current 1390 Super Duke platform but benefits from an extensive weight-saving program. According to KTM, it is 9 kilograms lighter than the road-legal RR and 20 kilograms lighter than the standard R. This reduction comes from stripping out non-essential parts and swapping in lighter, race-spec components across the entire machine.
The bodywork is predominantly crafted from carbon fiber, helping keep weight to a minimum, while forged magnesium wheels further cut down unsprung mass. It also comes equipped with a full Akrapovič Evolution Line titanium exhaust, along with titanium fasteners, and features a simplified electronics package compared to its road-going counterpart.
The suspension and braking setup have been enhanced with a clear focus on track performance. It features high-end WP Pro Components derived from KTM’s MotoGP program, while stopping power comes from superbike-grade Brembo brakes. The bike rides on Michelin Power Performance slick tyres as standard, underscoring its race-ready intent.
KTM says the RR Track is designed for riders who want a fully track-ready machine straight from the factory, rather than going through the process of modifying a road bike themselves. While that approach is undeniably appealing, it does take away some of the hands-on satisfaction that comes with building and fine-tuning your own race bike.
The 1,350cc engine—a liquid- and oil-cooled 75-degree V-twin—produces a formidable 202 PS and 151 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It is controlled by a Keihin EMS system and a ride-by-wire throttle, and comes factory-equipped with a full Akrapovič Evolution Line titanium exhaust system.
For its chassis, the bike features a powder-coated chromium-molybdenum trellis steel frame, paired with a rear subframe constructed from cast aluminum and carbon fiber. Suspension duties are handled by top-spec WP PRO components, including 8548 closed-cartridge front forks with 130 mm of travel and a WP PRO 8750 inline rear shock offering 120 mm, both fully adjustable for damping and preload. Braking performance comes from Brembo GP4 MS monobloc four-piston calipers gripping 320 mm T-Drive discs at the front, while a 240 mm disc manages stopping power at the rear.
In terms of proportions, the machine features a 1,491 mm wheelbase, an 860 mm seat height, and 109 mm of ground clearance. It has a remarkably low dry weight of just 177 kg (excluding fuel) and is equipped with a 17.5-litre fuel tank. To further enhance performance, it runs on lightweight 17-inch forged wheels at both ends, helping to minimize unsprung mass.
Production is strictly limited to just 100 units, each priced at £32,999. The model is now open for pre-orders through KTM dealerships.
