Design-wise, the Nissan NX8 pushes Nissan’s V-motion styling in a much more futuristic direction. Up front, a star-ring lighting signature, closed grille, and illuminated Nissan badge create a distinctly high-tech look.

The rear is even more dramatic, featuring “quantum light curtain” taillights made up of 2,064 OLED elements that can display customizable lighting animations.

In terms of size, the NX8 stretches 4,870 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, and 1,680 mm tall, riding on a generous 2,917 mm wheelbase.

POWERTRAIN

Powertrain choices for the Nissan NX8 are impressively diverse, with buyers able to choose between fully electric and range-extended setups.

The EV version comes in two outputs—215 kW and 250 kW—and can be paired with either a 73 kWh or 81 kWh battery. Depending on the configuration, range figures stretch from 565 km all the way up to 650 km.

For drivers wanting extra flexibility, the range-extender model combines a 1.5-litre turbo engine acting as a generator with a 195 kW electric motor. Battery options range from 20.3 kWh to 37.4 kWh, delivering pure electric driving ranges of up to 185 km.

One of the biggest highlights of the Nissan NX8 is its advanced 800V electrical architecture combined with CATL’s latest LFP battery technology. Nissan says this makes the NX8 the first new-energy SUV from a non-Chinese brand to support 800V 5C ultra-fast charging.

The battery pack has also been engineered and manufactured under Nissan’s own global standards, allowing it to maintain reliable performance in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C.
