SYM Cruisym 400
Big scooters are becoming more popular than ever, particularly with riders who want everyday practicality without sacrificing comfort or touring capability. The new SYM Cruisym 400 taps directly into that demand, blending strong performance, modern tech, and confidence-inspiring design into one versatile package.
What makes a maxi-scooter so appealing is its effortless riding experience: just twist the throttle and go, with no clutch or shifting to think about. Yet it still delivers the speed, comfort, and stability needed for highway trips and longer adventures. The SYM Cruisym 400 nails this formula, appealing both to newcomers stepping up from smaller scooters and seasoned riders wanting an easy-to-live-with daily companion.

For this updated SYM Cruisym 400, SYM has fitted a new 399 cc single-cylinder engine. With around 34 hp and stronger torque delivery, it may not chase superbike numbers, but it delivers exactly what riders need—smooth highway performance and enough punch for effortless overtakes.
High-speed stability on the SYM Cruisym 400 is supported by a 15-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel. Braking performance is improved through a larger front brake paired with a radial-mounted caliper for stronger and more consistent stopping power. Safety technologies such as ABS and traction control are included as standard, despite remaining relatively uncommon in this segment and price category.
In terms of technology, the SYM Cruisym 400 comes well equipped with a full-colour TFT display, smartphone connectivity, integrated navigation, and a USB charging port. These features enhance its practicality for both daily commuting and longer-distance riding.
Even though it’s built on the same platform as the SYM Maxsym 400, the SYM Cruisym 400 feels noticeably sportier and more agile. SYM hasn’t focused solely on comfort here—the goal was clearly to make the scooter enjoyable to ride as well.
In many ways, the Cruisym 400 pushes the maxi-scooter formula further than before. It’s not just a bigger scooter; it brings motorcycle-like levels of performance, safety, and technology into a more practical and accessible package.
