Suzuki Motor Thailand has revealed the new Suzuki XL7 Black Edition, a special-edition crossover built around the concept “Express Your Other Side.” With its darker styling treatment, sportier attitude, and fuel-saving Smart Hybrid technology, the XL7 Black Edition aims to blend visual flair with everyday practicality.
EXTERIOR
The Suzuki XL7 Black Edition makes an immediate impression with its stealth-inspired all-black styling package. Up front, a gloss-black grille sits between LED headlights and darkened daytime running lights, giving the crossover a sharper and more modern face. Black trim pieces along the front, sides, and rear add extra attitude, while black alloy wheels strengthen its sporty road presence.
The dark theme continues throughout the exterior with black door handles, side mirrors, roof rails, and tailgate trim. Smoked LED taillights tie everything together, giving the XL7 Black Edition a bold and cohesive appearance.
INTERIOR
Inside, the Suzuki XL7 Black Edition retains its versatile seven-seat layout. The cabin offers flexible seating configurations with a 60:40 split-folding second row and a 50:50 split-folding third row, allowing cargo capacity to expand to as much as 803 litres.
The interior also includes a range of modern features such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, wireless phone charging, a D-shaped multifunction steering wheel with cruise control, and an LCD display showing G-Force and fuel consumption information.
POWERTRAIN
Under the hood, the Suzuki XL7 Black Edition uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with Suzuki’s SHVS mild-hybrid system. The Integrated Starter Generator adds extra torque during acceleration and overtaking, making the crossover feel smoother and more responsive while also improving fuel economy.
Suzuki has also positioned the lithium-ion battery higher in the chassis to provide extra reassurance when driving through flooded roads. Combined with the lightweight yet rigid HEARTECT platform, the XL7 Black Edition promises a stable and confidence-inspiring driving experience.
