Suzuki has revealed the second-generation Across SUV for the European market. As with its predecessor, the model is built on the Toyota RAV4 platform. However, unlike the first Across — which featured distinctive styling cues — the new version closely mirrors its Toyota counterpart, differing primarily in badges and branding.
The Suzuki Across first joined the lineup in 2020 as a Europe-exclusive model based on the fifth-generation RAV4. Although Suzuki recently introduced a different vehicle under the Across name in emerging markets, the company has retained the nameplate in Europe, where the SUV now enters its second generation.
Design: A Familiar Yet Rugged Look
The new European Across is derived from the sixth-generation RAV4. This time, Suzuki has adopted nearly identical exterior styling to Toyota’s off-road-oriented variants. Notably, the model is based on the rugged versions sold overseas — such as the Toyota RAV4 Woodland in the United States and the Toyota RAV4 Adventure in Japan — both of which feature a bolder front bumper with a prominent central bar and a grille with horizontal slats. By contrast, the standard European RAV4 typically uses a frameless grille with a honeycomb design.
In terms of dimensions, the second-generation Suzuki Across measures 4,600 mm in length. This makes it slightly shorter than the RAV4 Woodland (4,623 mm) and the RAV4 Adventure (4,620 mm), while sharing the same 2,690 mm wheelbase. For comparison, the previous Across was 4,635 mm long with an identical wheelbase.

Powertrain: Plug-In Hybrid Only

-
A 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine

An electromechanical continuously variable transmission (e-CVT)

Two electric motors

A 22.7 kWh battery pack
The total system output stands at an impressive 304 horsepower, delivering strong performance alongside electrified efficiency.
Pricing details and the official market launch timeline for Europe will be announced at a later date.
